 'Worry-Dolls'. 

The story goes, that in Ancient Mayan civilization (or modern Guatemala), they were given to children so they could confide their worries. One doll for each worry. After, the children would place the dolls under their pillows and then sleep through the night. When they woke, the dolls would have worked their magic and the children's worries went away! I was instantly enchanted! I had goosebumps and even felt calmer after learning that and holding one of the dolls in my hand. A lot of people don't have access to therapy or anti-depressants, or maybe they don't have a close friend circle they can confide in every time they encounter a life hurdle. Sometimes, something really simple, like a fabric and stick doll can make all the difference. Sometimes all you need is something small to believe in but in fact, you're really learning to believe in yourself and invest in your own power. I'm all about that.

"Muñecas-Preocupas''. 

Cuenta la historia que en la antigua civilización maya (o la actual Guatemala), se les entregaba a los niños para que pudieran confiar en sus preocupaciones. Una muñeca para cada preocupación. Después, los niños colocaban las muñecas debajo de sus almohadas y luego dormían toda la noche. Cuando se despertaron, las muñecas habrían hecho su magia y las preocupaciones de los niños desaparecieron. ¡Me encantó al instante! Se me puso la piel de gallina e incluso me sentí más tranquila después de enterarme de eso y de tener una de las muñecas en la mano. Mucha gente no tiene acceso a terapia o antidepresivos, o tal vez no tienen un círculo de amigos cercanos en el que puedan confiar cada vez que se encuentran con un obstáculo en la vida. A veces, algo realmente simple, como una tela y una muñeca de palo, puede marcar la diferencia. A veces, todo lo que necesitas es algo pequeño en lo que creer, pero de hecho, realmente estás aprendiendo a creer en ti mismo e invertir en tu propio poder. Es  todo lo que se sobre eso.
